Hugh started his career training as a psychologist and psychotherapist in London, and working in the charity space. During that time, he became increasingly involved in the family business — St Aubyn Estates, in West Cornwall, which includes the management of St Michael’s Mount, heritage, hospitality, retail, property management, construction and farming.

He went on to study for an MBA at Exeter University, where he was first drawn into sustainability, through engaging with business from a psychological perspective — and asking: ‘what’s being missed here?’ By looking at what isn’t visible, or accounted for by traditional business models, he started to see everything differently — and returned to Cornwall, where he’s been working as a sustainability consultant and leading on environmental change at St Aubyn Estates for the past ten years.

Hugh’s background and experience has informed Re:Now’s distinctive process, which balances a supportive, people focused approach with analytical and strategic expertise.
